ROCHESTER, Minn.- The Rochester Education Association says it has finalized the latest draft of its 2025-2027 Teacher contract with the district on Friday, Aug. 29.
Coming out of the labor day weekend the union says its been hard at work informing members about the latest changes ahead of a vote on that contract in mid-September.
Vince Wagner, President of REA, says that the new contract has several new changes for the district's teachers including 1.5 percent pay schedule increase in the first year, a 2.3 percent increase in the second year and an increase in matching for 403 B retirement plans.
Wagner says the most impressive part of the deal is that negotiators were able to complete it by the end of August.
