ELIZABETHTON, Tenn. (WJHL) - Sycamore Shoals State Historic Park hosted a volunteer workday Monday.
Volunteers worked from 1-5 p.m. and performed activities such as invasive plant removal, litter pick-up, cabin cleaning and trail work.
"It really was heartwarming to see, you know, the people [and] how much that they really love our park and enjoy what we're doing," park ranger Jason Davis told News Channel 11. "So it really does feel good to know how much the community enjoys being here and being involved."
More information on how to get involved with Sycamore Shoals volunteer opportunities can be found on the Tennessee State Park website.
