ELBRIDGE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) -- The New York State Department of Transportation has a lane reduction planned in the Town of Elbridge in Onondaga County that drivers should be alert to.

State Route 31 will be reduced to one lane between Carmer Road and Sweeney Place, with alternating traffic controlled by a temporary signal. The reduction will take place from 5 p.m. to 6 a.m. on weeknights, beginning Tuesday, September 2, through Saturday, September 6, to facilitate bridge work.

Construction activities are weather-dependent and subject to change based on conditions.
