CHITTENANGO, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) -- Were you recently feeling lucky during a trip to Tops?

A winning Powerball ticket worth $50,000 was sold at the 800 W Genesee Street Tops in Chittenango.

According to the New York Lottery, the ticket was sold for the Sept. 1 drawing. The winning numbers were 8, 23, 25, 40, 53. The Powerball was 5.

The odds of winning the third-prize ticket, which is 4 matching numbers and the Power Ball, are 1 in 913,129.18.

There were eight other third-prize-winning tickets sold in the state, including in the Bronx, Buffalo, Ilion, Kings Park, Mechanicville, Ridgewood, Saratoga Springs, and Troy. All tickets were worth $50,000 as well.

The winning numbers for the Powerball game are drawn from five balls out of a set of 69. The red Power Ball is drawn from a separate set
