COLUMBUS, Miss. ( WBRC ) - A game of chance just became more attractive to millions of people across the country, and Mississippi is no exception.

That’s because the Powerball jackpot has exploded to $1.1 billion.

The lines weren’t long at convenience stores such as the Riverhill Chevron in Columbus, Mississippi, but it did good business Monday, and they hope to do even better should it sell the winning ticket.
