BLOOMINGTON — Indiana football coach Curt Cignett's didn't spare anyone in his detailed critique of his team’s 27-14 win over Old Dominion .

“A little bit like Groundhog Day, to be honest,” Cignetti said, during his weekly press conference on Monday. “Like FIU, dominate the game, not reflective in the scoreboard. Not happy with the way the offense played in the second half of FIU in the red area in this game, and the fans left at halftime. It all felt like Groundhog Day to me.”

The 47,109 fans who attended the opener ultimately got a bit of a pass from Cignetti — “we needed to give them more to cheer about” — but his players weren’t as fortunate.
