LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - A drying trend has started here in SWLA, and we can expect some lower humidity levels to go along with it.

A pleasant day is ahead Tuesday with partly cloudy skies and highs expected near 90 again. Rain looks very limited aside from perhaps an isolated shower or storm in the afternoon. The trend towards drier weather will continue as we head through the middle half of the week as a weak front will continue to push south and east with time.

As the front does so, it will help to drop morning lows into the lower 70s with some upper 60s sprinkled into the mix across the northern parishes. Rain chances will drop even more to only a stray chance starting Thursday and continuing into the first half of the weekend.
