Carson Beck entered the 2024 season as a frontrunner for the Heisman Trophy and a possible option to be drafted No. 1 overall out of Georgia.

And while Beck had a decent year, throwing threw for 3,485 yards, 28 touchdowns and 12 interceptions while going 10-2 as UGA's starter, he struggled throughout the season and there were growing calls from the Bulldogs' fan base to bench him toward the end of the year in favor of backup Gunner Stockton as Georgia fell out of the top 10 in mid-November following a 28-10 loss to Ole Miss.
