MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A woman was assaulted and robbed in the drive-thru at the Church’s Chicken on Third Street after an argument in line, according to a Memphis police affidavit.
On July 31, an incident began when a customer behind the victim — later identified by police as Terrona Cook — became upset about her place in the drive-thru.
According to the affidavit, Cook drove a silver 2016 Kia Sorento and intentionally struck the victim’s 2021 Mitsubishi Mirage, causing about $100 in damage.
Police say Cook and Latisha Sams, 31, then got out, opened the victim’s driver door, and punched and scratched her, leaving bruises and abrasions.
MPD said during the incident, Cook snatched the keys from the ignition; the victim’s wallet was attached to the keys and contained identification documents.
