Granite Staters could get a glimpse of the northern lights Monday night.

An eruption on the surface of the sun sent charged particles into space over the weekend. When those particles hit Earth Monday evening, that could ignite the colors of the Aurora Borealis.

The best chance of catching a glimpse of the northern lights will be after midnight, away from any city lights.
