CHAPIN, S.C. (WIS) - The annual Chapin Labor Day parade rolled through the heart of Downtown Chapin Monday morning and brought out a large crowd of supporters.

The parade was led by motorcycle drivers from the American Legion Riders Post 193, which is directed by Tom Yeoman.

Yeoman said he enjoys riding in the parade and seeing all the “little kids on the sidelines waving at us.”

“On motorcycles, it’s tricky trying to throw candy, so they’re a little disappointed when the bikes go by, but a lot of the trikes have someone on the back throwing candy, and then we had the float behind that where they were just dumping candy out for the kids,” he said.

Dozens of local vendors, charities and food trucks were also present at the parade to show their support.
