MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - After a blockbuster trade between Green Bay and Dallas bringing linebacker Micah Parsons to the Packers organization, the focus now shifts towards his status for Green Bay’s season opener vs. Detroit on Sunday.
Prior to the trade, Parsons had been dealing with a back injury throughout the offseason, which has now been publicly diagnosed as a L4/L5 facet joint sprain.
However, Parsons was still able to participate in the Packers’ practice today.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Parsons may take an epidural injection in his back prior to the game in order to play.
It is now clear that these next days of practice in preparation for the first game of the season will be critical in the decision of Parsons’ overall health, as well as his anticipated participation.
