TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - Labor Day brought a wave of visitors to Mount Lemmon, as Tucsonans and tourists alike sought to enjoy a day off in cooler, cloudier weather.

The scenic drive up Catalina Highway was a popular choice, with cars seen making their way up every few seconds.

For some, the destination was Summerhaven. Brett and Andie Stewart, a married couple from Abilene, Texas, were among those heading there.

"This is our first time in Tucson in the area. And then a friend had recommended the drive up here," said Brett again.

Before reaching Summerhaven, the Stewarts took a break at Windy Point Vista to take in the views.

"It's a beautiful day and the scenery is great, we're making the most of it," said Brett Stewart.
