SEATTLE, Ohio (WJW) - Border patrol officers in Seattle confiscated thousands of fake Labubu dolls, officials announced late last week.
On Friday, Brian Humphrey, the director of field operations for U.S. Customs and Border Protection in Seattle, shared photos of dolls resembling the Hong Kong-based collectible plush toys that have grown in popularity recently.
In the post on X, Humphrey said officers seized 11,134 counterfeit Labubu dolls worth more than $513,000.
"LabuWHO?" Humphrey wrote, showing one of the knock-off Labubus, dubbed "Lafufus" online, holding a Coca-Cola bottle. Another photo showed a box full of the counterfeits. • Credit: @DFOSeattle via Storyful • Credit: @DFOSeattle via Storyful
