SCIOTO COUNTY, Ohio — A Central Georgia man is dead after a paragliding accident in Ohio, according to the Scioto County coroner's office.
The coroner's office said Tim Williams, 36, from Byron, was doing acrobatic maunevers and tricks in the Ohio skies around 9 a.m. on Sunday.
They said they were told that a strap between where Williams was sitting and the glider part of the paraglider got caught in the engine. They said the strap got tangled in the engine, causing Williams to go down.
The coroner's office said Williams died on impact. Their deputy coroner, Joseph Herrmann, pronounced Williams dead around 9:30 a.m.
