HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -- Workers across the nation gathered for Labor Day marches and protests, including in Harrisburg.

At the Pennsylvania State Capitol, numerous groups said they were there because they believe the billionaire class is exploiting working men and women. They listened to speeches, carried flags and sang songs. They also marched around the complex, decrying what they see as economic inequality in the United States.

"When we center workers' rights, we get an outcome that is democracy," said Justin Douglas (D), Dauphin County commissioner. "When we center billionaires, we get a whole system that's rigged for them to be successful and for everyone else to be unsuccessful."
