FOREST GROVE Ore. (KPTV) - Members of a Forest Grove church are struggling to bounce back after more than $20,000 worth of tools, equipment, and donations were stolen from their sanctuary overnight.

Geovanna Ventura Torres has been coming to Iglesia Universal Cristiana her whole life. Nowadays, she enjoys bringing her own children and singing in the choir.

“We are a church that loves helping others out,” she said.

Now, la Iglesia needs help. Wednesday morning, church members arrived to find their doors open and the building cleared out.

“Nearly everything we use for worship,” Ventura Torres tallied. “Our instruments, microphones, speakers, mixers…sound equipment.”
