Burger Patch, Sacramento’s popular vegan fast-food restaurant, is closing after more than eight years in business. Owners Phil and Daena announced on Facebook that the restaurant’s last day will be Sept. 1, citing financial challenges. Known for its plant-based burgers and community presence at events like the World’s Strongest Man competition and Bottlerock, Burger Patch says it has spared 100,000 animals during its run. The restaurant will remain open through Labor Day weekend with special hours and delivery available only through its app.
