FORT WORTH, Texas — Tarrant County drivers, get ready for some late-night detours on I-20 this week.
Eastbound lanes, from the I-20/I-30 split to Markum Ranch Road, will be closed Tuesday night, Sept. 2, starting at 7 p.m. Crews will work through the night on bridge construction, and the highway will reopen by 6 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3.
The following evening, crews will focus on the westbound side. Lanes from Markum Ranch Road back to the I-20/I-30 split will close from 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3, until 6 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 4.
TxDOT says these overnight closures will only take place if weather conditions allow.
Drivers will be guided along a marked detour, but officials suggest planning an alternate route to avoid delays.
