SUFFIELD, Conn. — The Connecticut River - a popular destination for fishing, boating and trail activities - is once again drawing concern, and it's not about what’s swimming there but instead regarding what might be dumped into it.

At the Windsor Locks Canal Trail, local fishers cast their lines Monday, hoping for a peaceful day of fishing. For Angelo Pudlo, that’s exactly what he got.

But State rep. Tami Zawistowski [R-East Granby] said what’s also in the water could be far more troubling.
