LINCOLN, Neb. (KCAU) — Nebraska leaders want everyone to remember the new additions to the state's move-over law (LB 530) that will go into effect on September 3.
Previously, Nebraska's move-over law applied only when passing emergency and roadside assistance vehicles on the shoulders of highways and interstates. However, the Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) amended the law to include all vehicles that are pulled over on state roadways.
According to a press release, motorists must move over for any stopped vehicle, pedestrians, bicyclists, people in crosswalks, and agricultural vehicles.
