All of us at Action 8 News, Tie & Doll, Inc. and Winn-Dixie want to thank all of you who donated to our “Stuff the Truck” food drive to help students in Montgomery Public Schools.

The 11th annual event was held Saturday in front of the Sturbridge Winn-Dixie on Vaughn Road.

Student members of Tie & Doll were there with members of our Action 8 News team to collect food and money.

We filled grocery carts with snacks and easy to prepare foods that will be given to students at Montgomery Public Schools who may not get enough to eat at home.

Thanks to you, we collected more than 6,500 pounds of food — that’s more than three tons! — and $900 in cash donations.
