EUGENE — Oregon expects to have one of its defensive transfers back against Oklahoma State, but a receiver will remain out and a backup offensive lineman’s status is yet to be determined.
Northwestern transfer Theran Johnson missed UO’s season opener against Montana State with a right knee injury. Redshirt freshman receiver Dillon Gresham was out with an unspecified injury and backup guard Kawika Rogers went down after 16 plays with an ankle injury.
Oregon coach Dan Lanning said Johnson, who went through an individual workout and was in full pads with the team during pregame last season, “should be back” for Saturday’s game against the Cowboys.
“He was probably in position where he could have gone and pushed through, but we want to get him more practice reps,” Lanning said.
