ESCANABA — The 2025 high school football season kicked off this past weekend.

Before the Rapid River Rockets faced off with the Engadine Eagles Daily Press sports writer Adam Hinch got the opportunity to catch up with Rockets junior Rowen Flath to discuss a variety of topics.

Adam Hinch: What got you into football?

Rowen Flath: My brother Griffin Flath really influenced me to get into the sport and I watched him a lot growing up.

AH: What other sports do you play?

RF: I play basketball and track.

AH: What do you like to do in your spare time?

RF: I like to hunt.

AH: What is your favorite food?

RF: Tacos.

AH: What is your favorite subject in school?

RF: I have to go with science.
