A Coventry factory unit could be transformed into a 'community hall'. Most recently unit 1 at Regency Works in Shakleton Road was used by an upholstery business.

But it could become a new 'community hall', if a new plan is given the go-ahead. The city council has received an application that asks for permission for the change of use of an the existing commercial building to to a community meeting hall and ancillary offices.

"It is envisaged that the hall will provide a space for activities such as classes for children, counselling, mother and baby groups, workshops and keep fit classes," the application reads.
