Young musicians are realising their dreams in memory of a much-loved teenager who lost her life in the Manchester Arena terrorist bombing.
Eilidh MacLeod, who was just 14, loved to play the bagpipes. Now a new music access fund for young people has been made available by a charity set up in her name.
The Eilidh MacLeod Access Fund will provide support to young pipers and drummers looking to hone their craft, and it will be administered by the National Piping Centre.
Eilidh lived with her family on the Isle of Barra in the Outer Hebrides, Scotland. Her bagpipe band were placed in the World Pipe Band Championships in 2016, a fact the public inquiry into the 2017 bombing was told filled her with a huge sense of pride.
