The big vote on desalination is coming. Here's what you need to know.

The fate of the Inner Harbor desalination plant will be in the hands of the Corpus Christi City Council for what will essentially be a final decision Sept. 2.

A meeting agenda shows that it is anticipated the council will take its most consequential vote yet on its eventual development — whether to proceed with integral funding, and also to extend a contract to continue design work.
