The Freeport Salvation Army is seeking donations for its food pantry. The organization serves four northwest counties in Illinois and has a dramatic need for food and water, according to a community announcement.
Donations can be dropped off at 106 W. Exchange St. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cash donations can be made at salarmy.us/EverythingCounts .
Requested items include cereal, cookies, crackers and canned goods such as corn, carrots and soup. The pantry also needs potato packets, canned potatoes and pasta.
