For one of the best swimming spots, head straight to Seven Tubs Recreation Area. The cool mountain water brims over smooth, glacier-rubbed pools in this 537-acre area of Pinchot State Forest in Luzerne County.

The Seven Tubs Natural Area is a publicly accessible recreation area owned and managed by the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. It is only a few miles from the city of Wilkes-Barre, in Plains Township, off of Route 115.
