The Iredell County Economic Development Corporation hosted its annual meeting on Tuesday. The meeting convened over 350 leaders from local government, education, and industry.

The event marked seven years since the merger of Statesville Regional Development and Mooresville South Iredell Economic Development Corporation, forming a unified countywide organization focused on driving economic growth and prosperity.

Since its formation, Iredell EDC has helped position the county as a top destination for business and quality of life. Iredell County now ranks among North Carolina’s top 10 most prosperous counties. Over the past five years, the county has experienced a 10% population increase, a 26% expansion in the labor force, and a 26% rise in average wages — now at $62,669, the sixth highest
