While there was no $1.1 billion jackpot winner in Monday night's Powerball drawing, one lucky ticket worth over a million dollars was purchased in Los Angeles.

The winning $1,378,451 ticket was bought at a 76 gas station on the 14400 block of Ventura Boulevard in Sherman Oaks, according to the California Lottery website.

Million-dollar winners were also found in Florida, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey (2), New York, Pennsylvania and Virginia.

Two ticket holders in Montana and North Carolina each won $2 million.

Payouts in some states, including California, are based on a "pari-mutuel" system based on ticket sales and number of winners, and differ from the fixed prizes shown on the Powerball website.
