About 25 people from around the Cleveland area showed in support of Jewish people and Israel during a #EndJewishHatred rally on Aug. 31 at First and Main in downtown Hudson following an antisemitic rally the week prior.

The rally began at noon Aug. 31 with a small group of supporters carrying Israeli flags. In the early afternoon, the same group of people from an Aug. 23 rally showed up to counterprotest with signs reading “Stop HR 4187 Jews hate free speech,” “Jews rape kids,” and “The Epstein files are Jewish blackmail” – the same signs held in the Aug. 23 rally.

HR 4187 is a bill introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives by Rep. Ted Lieu, D-Calif., in June, according to Congress’ website. The bill is known as the Stop Hate Crimes Act of 2025 and aims to amend Title 18 in U.S. Co
