Lee Corso’s final ESPN “College GameDay” appearance couldn’t have gone any better, especially for the lucky fans who took his advice one final time.

In April, Lee Corso announced his plans to retire after 38 years on “College GameDay.” His final show was on Saturday for the highly anticipated Ohio State-Texas game, which the defending national champions won 14-7.

Corso was hired for “College GameDay” when the program first aired in 1987. The former Louisville, Indiana and Northern Illinois head coach had a popular “headgear picks” segment that began in 1996, where he added extra humor by wearing the head of the mascot for the team he picked to win.
