Emmerdale viewers have clocked a revolting oversight in Mackenzie Boyd's captivity storyline.

Fan favourite Mackenzie (Lawrence Robb) is currently imprisoned by murderer John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) in a subterranean chamber deep in the woodland. Last week, John assaulted Mack following his discovery that John was responsible for killing Nate Robinson (Jurrell Carter) last year and disposing of his corpse in a lake.

Using drastic tactics to prevent Mack's escape, a dramatic confrontation unfolded in the forest, during which John fired an arrow at Mack before seemingly finishing him off with a stone.

Yet in a shocking revelation, it emerged that a severely wounded Mack is actually breathing and being imprisoned by John in a hidden underground bunker amongst the trees, reports the D
