LIVE OAK, Fla. (WCJB) - An online silent auction was being held on Monday to raise money for “Sweet Pea,” a 10-week-old puppy who survived severe abuse in Live Oak.

Authorities say Eric Roldan, 45, stomped on Sweet Pea, leaving her with skull fractures that required multiple surgeries. Despite the trauma, caregivers at Livin’ Like Larry Farm Sanctuary say the puppy has made a remarkable recovery.

Funds raised will go directly toward Sweet Pea’s medical expenses. Unique items were up for bid including a “Graffiti with Sweet Pea” experience, where the winning bidder can create art alongside the resilient pup.

Officials say they will be posting final numbers and reaching out to the winners Tuesday morning.
