Police are trying to get a woman into custody after a pursuit came to an end on Los Angeles' Westside region Tuesday morning.

The incident began when officers were called to the 11000 block of Ovada Place in the Bel-Air neighborhood regarding reports of a woman screaming, a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson confirmed to KTLA.

Police began pursuing the suspect's vehicle around 7 a.m. before the vehicle stopped near Montana Avenue and South Sepulveda Boulevard in Westwood.

The unidentified suspect did not immediately exit the vehicle, prompting a standoff with officers.
