CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - Hampden Charter School of Science (HCSS) has been ranked the top public high school in the Springfield Metro Area and 52nd in Massachusetts by U.S. News and World Report.

The annual 'Best High Schools' ranking by U.S. News and World Report evaluates over 24,000 public high schools across the United States, assessing their performance on state assessments and college preparedness. HCSS excelled with a score of 93.3 out of 100 possible points.
