A teenage boy who went to a Cambridgeshire lake with friends accidentally drowned, an inquest has heard. An inquest into the death of Jack Lloyd , 16, was held on Tuesday (September 2) at Vantage House in Huntingdon .
The teenager died after he visited Crown Lakes in Farcet on April 3, 2025, with two friends. He entered the water but later got into difficulty.
Emergency services, including Cambridgeshire Police, Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service, and the East of England Ambulance Service were called to the scene. A body was found by search teams just before midnight on April 3, later confirmed to be Jack.
Coroner Simon Milburn confirmed Jack died of accidental drowning. The inquest heard details of what happened before Jack was found.
