DENVER (KDVR) — It's still in the 80s in Denver, but with winter only a few months out, Colorado ski mountains are already gearing up for the 2025-2026 ski season.
Summer doesn't last long in the mountains. The ski season just ended as late as June for some mountains, but the resorts are already getting ready for the next season by announcing opening dates starting as early as mid-October to early November.
While there's still summer weather in Denver, the mountain towns are starting to cool down. There hasn't been any major snowfall in Colorado ski areas, but that doesn't stop the resorts from planning for the 2025-2026 ski season.
