DALLAS (WAFB) - NBA YoungBoy launched his Make America Slime Again Tour in Dallas with a combination of music and philanthropy, donating $50,000 to local nonprofits before stepping on stage for three sold-out performances at American Airlines Center.
The Baton Rouge rapper, whose real name is Kentrell DeSean Gaulden, split the donation evenly between Manifest Freedom , co-founded by attorney Brittany K. Barnett, and Urban Specialists .
Giving back to Dallas
Manifest Freedom supports entrepreneurs and creatives impacted by incarceration, while Urban Specialists tackles community violence through mentorship programs in Dallas and other U.S. cities.
“You know, a lot of people be getting hurt, so it ain’t really cool at this point to me,” YoungBoy told local news outlet WFAA about the
