We are finally into Week 1. The San Francisco 49ers will kick off their regular season against the Seattle Seahawks. Since this is the first week, the final batch of predictions is rolling in, and wouldn’t you know it, there’s a prediction that has the 49ers winning the Super Bowl.

This is also a prediction by someone who is not a homer, so it carries more weight.

CBS Sports’ John Breech has released his 2025 NFL season predictions, which include the 49ers going 13-3, winning the NFC West, and avenging a prior Super Bowl loss by beating the Baltimore Ravens 27-24. I don’t know if a Super Bowl win over the Ravens would erase the pain of Super Bowl XLVII, where the 49ers lost to the Ravens 34-31, but it’d be nice not just to go back, but actually win one this century.
