CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Division of Police (CDP) is investigating a pair of fatal incidents that took place over Labor Day weekend.
On Sunday afternoon at approximately 2:44 p.m., officers from the CDP's Fourth District responded to a ShotSpotter call in the 3300 block of East 142nd Street. When police arrived, they found a 39-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Officers began to render first aid until the arrival of Cleveland EMS, who took the victim to University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center. He was later pronounced dead.
The victim has been identified by the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office (CCMEO) as Mujahid Abdur-Rahman.
