MARTINSBURG -- The fragrant scent of steak and pancakes cooking wafted around War Memorial Park on Monday morning, as Martinsburg-Berkeley County Parks & Recreation held its annual Labor Day Breakfast at the park's main pavilion.

Volunteers from all over helped with the event, including a group of around 12 high school students from Faith Christian Academy's (FCA) Interact Club. Interact is Rotary's club for those ages 12-18.

"Our students in Interact give back to the community, by helping with this event every year," said FCA Director of Development Jen Stanley. "The club has probably partnered together with this event for the last five years."

According to the members of FCA Interact, serving food at the event is something they look forward to doing every year.
