SHEPHERDSTOWN -- The annual Labor Day Picnic returned to the Morgan's Grove Park on Monday.

Organized by the park's owner, the Shepherdstown Community Club (SCC), the event featured activities of interest to the whole family, including a moon bounce, rock painting, live music by the Rohrersville Band and a Boot Sale. One seller at the Boot Sale -- a community yard sale operating out of the "boot" or back of a car -- was Shepherdstown resident Beth Leasure-Hudson.

"This is the first time I've ever been to this event, for sure. I would do this again," Leasure-Hudson said, mentioning there were seven sellers total who participated in the sale. "I sold about 20 things -- at least a couple of which, I know, made their buyers's day."

Another major draw for the event, was its excellent menu. T
