JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Gray News) – A 5-year-old boy in Florida who wandered to Chick-fil-A all by himself for breakfast worried that police officers were going to take him to jail.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said two patrol officers got a unique call for a 5-year-old boy who had visited a Chick-fil-A all by himself.

A manager gave food to the boy and waited with him until police arrived.

Officers arrived to find William “happily enjoying breakfast and lots of attention from the staff.”

When asked if he knew where his house was, William said yes. He was prepared to let officers drive him home, but he stopped to ask, “Are you going to get me in jail?”

One officer responded with a laugh, “No, I’m not going to put you in jail.”
