Eight people have been arrested and charged in connection with shoplifting in Aberdeen .
From Monday, August 25, Police Scotland officers from the Community Action Team carried out patrols and also provided advice to various stores that had seen repeat thefts.
Five men and three women aged between 20 and 43 were traced in connection with 46 shoplifting incidents.
They have been reported to the Procurator Fiscal.
Various items stolen were recovered including clothing, food and domestic goods.
