Petawawa resident donates $15,000 to Pembroke Regional Hospital

PETAWAWA — The Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation has received a generous $15,000 donation from Petawawa resident and grateful former patient Russell Howell. Article content

The gift, made in memory of Howell’s late wife, Pauline “Blondie” Howell, will help fund the purchase of a new CT scanner for the hospital. Article content

“I’m so appreciative of the care I received at the hospital, and I wanted to give back in a way that would help others in our community,” Howell said. “Making this donation in Blondie’s memory feels like a meaningful way to honour her and support the hospital that has helped us so much.”

The Foundation is currently raising funds for vital medical equipment, with the CT scanner at the top of the list. Once in place, it w
