This unique chili is layered with terrific flavor, which comes from an interesting blend of ingredients, including ground Italian sausage, bell peppers, cannellini beans and a can of beer.

Savory, easy to make and addictively delicious, this Italian Sausage Chili has quickly become a new Nasello family favorite.

Despite his Sicilian heritage, my husband, Tony, is a lightweight when it comes to spicy heat. Since he is the main person I cook for these days, this recipe is geared toward a mild palette. I use mild Italian sausage, but you could use hot or sweet Italian sausage, or a combination of the flavors.
