The Miami Hurricanes opened their season Sunday night with a splash by defeating the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in their first win over a top 10 opponent in eight years. As all eyes in the college football world were on the game, SoleFly took the occasion to debut an Air Jordan 3 collaboration taking after the university.

The SoleFly x Air Jordan 3 was worn by the sneaker boutique cofounders Carlos Prieto and Daniel Hidalgo, and they also laced up Hurricane alumni and Pro Football Hall of Famers Ed Reed, Andre Johnson and Edgerrin James.

Most of the shoe is rendered in white, but it carries accents in the U’s colors of orange and green. The Air Jordan 3 ’s signature elephant is replaced by suede paneling in the two shades, green for the toe tip and orange for the heel counter. G
