FARGO — The League of Women Voters of the Red River Valley has announced the first of its First Friday events for the season.
The series kicks off at noon Friday, Sept. 5, with Faye Seidler, who will speak about “Keeping Hope while fighting for Change,” the League said in a release.
The events are free and open to the public and held on the first Friday of each month in the Sons of Norway Lodge, 722 Second Ave. N. in Fargo.
Seidler is a suicide prevention advocate and LGBTQ+ data expert whose work involves statewide organizing, public speaking, researching data and providing training.
She is known for connecting and uplifting others, bringing communities together and keeping hope in focus during times that seem divisive and isolating, the release said.
